What supports
that claim?

A useful legal draft needs more than convincing language. Grounded DI’s legal tools connect claims to authorities and records, keep unresolved questions visible, and carry the work through review.

BriefWise / The four lanes of legal AI

Creating the answer is one job.
Deciding whether it’s ready is another.

Research, workflows, and familiar tools help a legal team produce work. BriefWise focuses on another question: what is the status of that work, and is it approved for the intended use?

01 / Research

What law and authority support the answer?

Find and examine the material behind the work.

02 / Workflow

How does the work get done?

Organize analysis, drafting, and repeatable tasks.

03 / Everyday tools

Where does the work happen?

Bring research, review, and drafting into the tools people use.

04 / Control

What supports this result—and may it be used?

Keep support, unresolved questions, changes, replay, and approval tied to the result.

BriefWise’s focus

Illustrative example / Not a live matter

A draft can be complete and still be held.

A draft cites a legal rule, but the supplied record is missing a fact needed to apply it. The wording may be finished; the missing support still needs review.

  1. CompletedThe proposed draft exists.
  2. CheckedReview identifies missing record support. That finding stays attached to the work.
  3. Held for reviewNo release for the proposed use until the required support and attorney approval are addressed.

Completing a check does not guarantee correctness. Approval is specific to the intended use; attorney judgment remains necessary. This illustrates the report’s control pattern, not an independently verified outcome.
